How To Choose SEO Keywords for Your Website

Hi there, Jennifer Glidden here from NextDoorSEO.com, and today I want to give you some tips on how to do keyword research.

If you’ve figured out that, yes, you really want to have the right keywords on your site, in your content, that you’re bidding for, pay-per-click ads, whatever it is online, keywords are really the key. They are the master key to getting the right people looking at your content at the right time.

Where Can You Do SEO Keyword Research?

Well there are a few places, and a lot of them are free. One of them is the Google Keyword Planner, that’s in Google Adwords Tools and you can create a free account for that, and do it right there in Google Keyword Planner.

Another Keyword Research Option

Then there’s another thing you can do, and that is just typing in the Google search box, is going to give you some suggestions. While you may not get the approximate keyword traffic, the search traffic on those keywords, you will get some great suggestions for long tail keywords and ideas that you may not of ever thought of, that could be even niche specific than you thought people were even searching for.
That’s a great way to find things that you won’t necessarily find anywhere else.

There are a lot of tools out there. If you’re looking for where to start, you can go to answerthepublic.com and type in the general topic, and that’s going to give you all sorts of ideas for blog articles, for long tail keywords, for different phrases to bid on. That’s a great place to get started and that’s also free.

I hope these tips were helpful for you. If you are looking to optimize your website for search engines and really get a lot more traffic to it, then contact me at nextdoorseo.com. I’d be happy to talk with you. Thank you for listening. Talk to you soon!
